Feb 9th - Mike Winther - "Constitution under Siege"

Mike Winther, the president of The Institute for Principle Studies provided some fabulous insights into the Constitution and the foundations for it. One take-away phrase he left us with is, "The source determines the use". We have to understand the foundational source for our rights to understand who has the authority to change them and where they apply.  We will try to have Mike back from time to time and see link above for training available from his Institute in Modesto.

Mike Winther holds a degree in political science from the University of Idaho. Soon after graduating, he worked as a professional campaign consultant in Washington and California. He is the founder of the Institute for Principle Studies, a Christian think-tank dedicated to researching and teaching foundational principles of government, economics, and history.

Mike is a lifelong student of history and government. He feels a burden to teach the important principles of government and economics—principles that were known by many of our founding fathers, but unfortunately were forgotten a generation later. Mike leads tours of historical places and events on the East Coast where he teaches about the real foundations of America. He has also developed a 10-week course for adults on American government and economics, which he teaches throughout Northern California. Over 4,000 people have gone through this 10-week class.
