Manteca Patriots Declaration

The motivation for the Manteca Patriots, consistent with the Tea Party movement, is providing citizens with a voice to challenge excessive government intrusion, spending and taxation.  Our mission, as a local group, is to attract, educate, organize, and mobilize our fellow citizens to secure public policy consistent with our three core values of Fiscal Responsibility, Constitutionally Limited Government and Free Markets.

We choose to affiliate with Tea Party Patriots, Inc., a national organization started in 2009, which has some 3300 chapters and 23 million members nationwide.  We are not a third party, nor do we advocate one.  We are a grass roots conservative organization in which our members are 100% volunteers who receive no compensation of any kind.

Our three-pronged mission, consistent with the Tea Party Patriots, is as follows:

1. Fiscal Responsibility: We demand fiscal responsibility by our government, which honors and respects the freedom of the individual to spend the money that is the fruit of their own labor without undue taxation.

2. Constitutionally Limited Government: As the government is of the people, by the people and for the people, in all matters we demand and will defend the personal liberty of the individual, as found in the United States and California Constitutions.

3. Free Markets: We demand a return to the free market principles on which this nation was founded and oppose government intervention into the operations of private business.

We encourage participation and involvement from all who are like-minded, but we do not see our purpose as being a sounding board for people’s complaints.  We are a group that is willing to learn and to educate others to enable us all to get involved and make real changes to the way we are being governed.

We value the integrity and accuracy of the information presented to our members.  We will try to fully vet the information and presenters, identify sources, and ensure credit is given where due so that we assure our members receive truthful and accurate information.

We will accomplish this great task with volunteers who are committed to professionalism, integrity, and hard work.  We will not only hold lawmakers accountable, but we will also hold one another accountable to work within the guidelines mentioned.  We exhort, as well as encourage, those holding or seeking public office.  Our task will be to see that they hold fast to the principles of the founders of the United States of America from the local, state, and federal levels, regardless of their party affiliation.

We will lift up those who are committed to our nation’s and our state’s Constitutions.  We will work to remove from office those who undermine the Constitutional guarantees handed down by our Forefathers and those who have given all to ensure our freedom.
